Power Verses from Romans

It's hard to believe, but we are almost through with our verse by verse journey through Romans. What a book! No reasonable person would dispute that the book of Romans is one of the most powerful and influential books ever written.
As we have made our way through this book, I've noted some power verses from every chapter.  Power - because these verses have huge impact and meaning. In my opinion, these verses are worthy of memorizing.  May these words add more of His power into your life.

Romans 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Romans 2:11 - For God does not show favoritism.

Romans 3:10 - There is no one righteous, not even one.

Romans 3:23-24 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:3 - Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

Romans 4:23 - 25 - The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, but also for us to whom God will credit righteousness - for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Romans 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:4 - We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 7:21 - So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
V. 24 - What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God-through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Romans 8:1 - Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:11 - And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:31-32 - What then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Romans 8:37 - No, in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Romans 9:16 - It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

Romans 10:9 & 13 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For everyone who calls on  name of the Lord will be saved.

Romans 11:36 - For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Romans 12:1 - Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.

Romans 12:21 - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 13:10 - Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:7 - Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Romans 16:20 - The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
