30 Day Christmas Challenge

I want to challenge you to give something to Christ this Christmas. In my sermon last weekend the challenge was to reach out to someone with the Good News of salvation.  Here is a re-cap of some of the principles I learned from John 4.  These will help us in being more effective as we reach out to other people.
1. Give some extra effort.  Jesus went out of his way to reach out to the Samaritan woman.  Will you be willing to get out of your comfort zone to reach out to someone else?
2. Gather some extra energy.  Even though Jesus was tired he still took the time to share. Will you refuse to be too tired to do God's kingdom work?
3. Be aware of people around you.  Jesus was always conscious of souls around him. Will you be willing to pray everyday this Christmas that God will heighten you awareness of people around you? People who need a touch from God?
4. Obey God.  When God leads you to someone, will you obey His leadership and share the Good News with them?
5. Incorporate an anyone, anytime, anywhere attitude.  Jesus spoke with someone that no one else would give the time of day to. Will you have that attitude? Don't put limitations on God. He may lead you to someone you might not expect.
6.  Share conversationally.  Jesus took a normal, natural, everyday conversation and turned it into a conversation about God.  We can follow his example.
7. Understand both sides of sharing. We all sow but some get to reap.  Will you be a faithful sower this Christmas?
Christmas is the ultimate sharing time. Christmas stirs up strong emotions in people. It's the greatest story every. The Highest King, leaves the loftiest place, with a heart full of love, to face the deepest woe, to save a sinner like me!
I believe Jesus wants us to reach out to people this Christmas with His love and grace.  Will you join me in this challenge this Christmas?
I think this is what Christ wants this Christmas.
