What we are in Christ

Colossians 2:9-15 contain some rich and powerful truths. Soak in this paragraph from God's Word.
9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross

Paul is outlining what we are in Christ.
From verses 9-10 - We are complete in Christ. We do not need anything else to make us favorable toward God, except Christ. All of heavens resources are ours!
From verses 11-13 - We are alive in Christ. Our sinful nature has been removed from us. We have been buried with him and God has raised us up. God has not only made us spiritually alive but also He has given life to my physical body, my emotions, my thinking, my relationships and every other part of my life.
From verses 13b - 14 - We are totally forgiven in Christ. He has canceled the charges that stood against us. Every person owes God a debt they cannot pay for violating His law. But God wiped out the debt by nailing it to the cross of Christ.
From verse 15 - We have victory in Christ. We don't have victory because we overcome; we have victory because He overcame! His cross brought triumph. He disarmed every authority that held us hostage and set us free in victory.
In Christ we are complete, alive, forgiven and victorious. What more could we want? Don't ever forget who you are in Christ. Keep these powerful truths before you daily. And always be overflowing with thankfulness.
